CannaCon South in 2023 isn’t going to just be OK - it’s going to be amazing! The Will Rogers Gardens is open to the public with no fee to enter and is home to a conservatory, a color garden and an arboretum. Spanning 30 acres, you can take in the beauty of everything from lilies, iris, azaleas, peonies, herbs, cacti and succulents as well as enjoy hands-on gardening and nature-related classes. The Stafford Air & Space Museum is one of the local favorites in Oklahoma, as it is one of the finest and most comprehensive air and space museums in all of the central U.S. With 63,000 square feet of exhibits all under one roof, this fantastic museum of human accomplishment is home to more than 3,500 artifacts, including retired space shuttles and declassified military planes. It is the go-to spot for hands-on learning, where you can discover the ins and outs of what it's like to be an astronaut.

Things To Experience

Remington Park Casino & Racetrack is the sole casino within Oklahoma City and features 750 different electronic gaming machines, from classic favorites to the newest games as well as poker machines with wager values from just a penny to high-limit action. Riversport will be open in Oklahoma City by spring 2023, and it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities like whitewater rafting, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. They have extreme waterslides, zip lines and the world’s tallest adventure course. If this doesn’t get your heart racing, nothing will. Six Flags Frontier City is Oklahoma’s most thrilling theme park and, as far as OKC spring activities go, the perfect destination for all adrenaline junkies. With attractions and rides that include pulse-pounding coasters as well as the largest water activity structure in Oklahoma, this Wild West-themed park also has live entertainment, classic dining options and shopping.

Things To Taste

Anthem Brewing Company is one of Oklahoma’s original craft breweries and creates exceptional beers using both Old and New World brewing styles with a variety of flavors sure to please any beer lover’s palate. Their taproom is one of the local favorites in OKC and definitely worth a visit while you’re in town. Incredible Pizza Company is one of the unique things to do in OKC, and yes, they have games and attractions that could have landed them in the previous section of things to do. But the reason they ended up in this section is their almost ridiculous buffet. Incredible Pizza Company is one of the best local restaurants in OKC, with an adorable 50’s styling and an absolutely massive all-you-can-eat buffet that includes a fresh salad bar, tacos, hot dogs, pasta, soups, desserts and while you’re there, you can even design your own pizza. If CannaCon leaves you with the munchies, this is definitely the place you want to hit up. Packard's is located in an original Packard showroom and features a rooftop patio where you can see an amazing view while enjoying seasonal craft cocktails and an eclectic food menu. As far as local OKC restaurants go, this is a great one. Pie Junkie makes our list of the best local restaurants in OKC because who doesn’t love pie? While they do have a small shop where you can sit and enjoy a slice, you’re probably better off taking it back to where you’re staying so you can snarf up a whole pie in private. With sweet varieties that include everything from apple and cherry to coconut cream, chocolate peanut butter, pecan and s’more’s as well as savory varieties that include sausage quiche, spinach bacon cheddar and chorizo potato green chile, these pies will make you say “Oh, my!” Iron Star Urban Barbeque is one of the local OKC restaurants that has been receiving rave reviews since it first opened. That was back in 2002 and now, no trip to Oklahoma City would be complete without a stop at Iron Star Urban Barbeque.
