This presentation will review the importance of food safety in the cannabis industry, including the potential risks and steps for mitigation. In addition, the benefits of third party certification and the steps to certification will be covered.

Participants will learn the importance of food safety in cannabis as well as the certification process and how to be prepared for an audit.

With over 10 years of experience in the Quality and Regulatory business with the Perry Johnson Family of Companies, Brett McMillen has assisted in the development of their Cannabis and Hemp Accreditation and Certification programs.  His contributions to the development of their GMP, GAP, Organic, and other Cannabis and Hemp programs have been instrumental given his range of experience witnessing manufacture of products from a wide range of industry areas.
