July 23, 2022 | 10:30 am | Room 2 | Operations Management

There is one thing that will never change in the Regulated Cannabis Industry, and that is everything will always be changing. One of the key reasons that people fail in this industry is their inability to adapt to change. Change means learning how to manage their risks and having implementable systems in place as regulations and laws are revised. With 13+ years of cannabis operations experience, Jenny has seen these failures, she has been a part of the nationally emerging cannabis industry, and understands why operations and employee’s struggle. It is the constant changes, the over-regulation, the fast moving emergency rules, always new inventory monitoring requirements, surprise inspections, revised packaging, and new labeling changes all the time. It is important to prepare every cannabis operation and their employees on how to adapt, foster a positive learning mindset and develop the ability to pivot instead of becoming a victim to the rule of law. Fighting the changes will end up getting you left behind and will be costly.
