Come list to Former Minnesota Governor Jesse “The Body” Ventura speak about how cannabis saved his life.

Jesse “The Body” Ventura

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN Ventura joined the Navy immediately after High school and was trained as a UDT/SEAL. He served in the Navy for six years during the Vietnam era. He then went on to become a wildly successful professional wrestler and color commentator eventually being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004. During and after his wrestling career, Ventura entered the bright lights of Hollywood, appearing in several iconic films and hit TV shows including Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the X-Files. In 1990, Ventura was prompted to run for Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota’s sixth largest city, due to the imminent destruction of a treasured wetland. His time as mayor helped pave the way for his next venture in public office, becoming the Governor of Minnesota in 1998. His world shocking victory, beating both the Democrat and Republican candidates as a third party outsider, made headlines around the world. Often ahead of the cultural curve, during his time in office Ventura fought for LGBTQ rights, 21st century mass transit, and the legalization of cannabis. While not achieving legalization during his tenure as governor, 20 years later his passion and activism for cannabis was finally rewarded. In 2023, when marijuana was officially legalized in Minnesota, current Gov. Tim Walz recognized Ventura’s lifelong efforts and had him speak at the historic signing of recreational cannabis into law. Today, Gov. Ventura is fully dedicated and focused on sharing his love of cannabis with the world through Jesse Ventura Farms and Retro Bakery.
