Ms. Mitchell is a partner with HAT Law Firm where she heads up the firm’s Cannabis Practice. Ms. Mitchell, who is by trade a healthcare attorney, brings her wealth of knowledge, contacts, and years of experience working with healthcare providers and state regulators, including but not limited to the Mississippi State Department of Health, to the medical cannabis industry. She has spoken to Mississippi Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, Mississippi Municipal Attorneys’ Association, Mississippi School of Law, Mississippi Hospital Association and various cannabis groups regarding cannabis law. She has also worked with the Mississippi State Hospital Association to develop the association’s first ever Tool Kit for dealing with Cannabis in the workforce and patient encounters. Ms. Mitchell works closely with the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure, Mississippi Board of Nursing, Mississippi Board of Pharmacy, and the Mississippi State Department of Health as well as other State and Federal agencies.
