The cannabis industry has always struggled with the image of lack of professionalism. What has always been missing from the industry to give to the professional legitimacy it deserves? The answer is Education! For too long there has not been higher education to back the industry. In this presentation Dustin will discuss the new programs that one particular University is offering to change the industry. We will explore not only the research possibilities in this discussions, but also how higher education brings the cannabis industry one step closer to being “Legitimized” it the rest of the business world.This presentation aims to educate it’s listeners on the exciting developments in higher education and cannabis. I will discuss the opportunities that specialized degrees in cannabis will open up, not only incoming students, but also the industry as a whole. As an Advisory Board member to the first program of its kind in the United States, I will bring new insight to what cannabis in Universities looks like.

Dustin Mahon founded his first legal hydrocarbon extraction company, Better Concentrates in 2012. Since then he has gone on to found one of Colorado’s and at the time the world’s largest cannabis processing facilities, EC labs. Dustin has been influential in local, state and national codes and regulations by regularly touring and training regulatory officials. Dustin specializes in the extraction, formulation and infusion of high potency cannabinoid-based medicines.
Dustin has joined the ETS team after recently selling his facility in Denver. His experience in the City and County of Denver will prove to be an invaluable asset for future producers. Teaming up with the international platform that ExtractionTek has developed; Dustin can start taking his abilities to a global level.
