Michael Sexton, Director of Cultivation, Primitiv

Michael Sexton is a technically minded professional, published cannabis cultivator, and industry
advocate who has consulted with multiple national frontrunners in the cannabis space, ranging from Ivy
League Academia to successful multi-million-dollar startups in cultivating their personal and professional
cannabis brands.
Sexton currently serves as the Director of Cultivation at Primitiv Group, a cannabis research company,
where he is responsible for 12,000 sq. ft. of cultivation and scientific operations within a controlled
medical research grade cannabis facility.
Sexton has spent more than a decade cultivating cannabis across the United States within specialized
and engineered climates ranging from industrial scale outdoor production to industrial scale
warehouses, commercial greenhouses, medical research, and craft-brew boutique facilities in every
medium and scenario.
Sexton’s career is supported with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Post-Secondary Science Education from
Shepherd University. He is also the recipient of multiple awards for outstanding performance and
professionalism as a Combat Deployed U.S Marine.
