Sohn Manufacturing continues to be one of the foremost manufacturing firms in the village of Elkhart Lake, WI creating equipment and products that serve both national and international markets.  We are a widely diversified company offering three divisions. The first division is the Sohn Quality Custom Labels; the second is Label Printing Equipment; the third is SMI, Sohn Medical Innovation.

Sohn Quality Custom Labels

Sohn Quality Custom Labels offers a flexographic printing division with a complete digital pre-press department.  We have several printing presses which allow one color to multi-color process label printing capabilities. Custom pantone color matching capabilities are also available.  We also offer digital printing labels with digital die cutting capabilities. We have state of the art digital press and laser cutting machines that will allow us to be competitive in the future label printing market.

Label Printing Equipment

The second division of Sohn Manufacturing is the manufacturing of small table top flexographic label printing equipment, stand alone custom converting equipment, and rotary tooling. The machines and equipment are made to the customer’s request. The equipment ranges from simple flexographic label printing to complex multi-color / multi station standalone equipment.  We also have the capability of adding custom-made rotary tooling to its equipment.  The rotary tooling is made to die cut label stock, Velcro, gasket, electronic components, cell phone components, pharmaceutical components, medical products, packaging for food, and many other high-volume products.

Sohn Medical Innovation

The third division of Sohn Manufacturing is SMI (Sohn Medical Innovation). This division was founded by Wallace Beaudry in 1975 as a contract manufacturer.

SMI specializes in the converting and rotary die-cutting of disposable films, non-woven tapes and foams, and yes, even honey, for medical, industrial and OTC markets under private label branding for customers worldwide. SMI is an FDA registered facility and holds certification in international standards IS013485 and IS09001.  Companies throughout the world partner with SMI, not only as a converter, but also as a research and development arm—assisting them in bringing new concepts to fruition.  SMI has helped customers bring to market items such as a popular breathing aid, DNA-collector swabs, various types of wound care bandages (used in home health care, hospitals, EMT responses and the military) gaskets and adhesive pads used in industrial applications.

With over 60 years of experience in the manufacturing of Flexographic Printing Equipment, Rotary Converting and Die Cutting; Sohn Mfg., Inc. is a rapidly growing, reliable source for competitively priced label products, rotary cutting dies, printing and converting machines.

Sohn MFG is located in Elkhart Lake, WI with an historic racing track background which is located one hour north of Milwaukee or one hour south of Green Bay. All three of our divisions are located on Sohn’s 13 acre industrial park.
