In 2016, Matthew Curran operated hundreds of thousands of cultivation square feet throughout the US. After using nearly every nutrient brand and mixing raw salts, he identified a need for a pre-mixed, complete nutrient system engineered for maximum solubility, stopping the unnecessary separation of ingredients, optimizing micro-nutrient availability, and eliminating the need for additional calcium and magnesium products. ‍ Over the next 5 years, Curran researched the Plant’s physiological needs and how to meet them for many different environments and varieties. His research culminated with an ideal formulation inclusive of multiple chelates for each cation, a surfactant, and complexing agents.
