Breathe Easy | Stop Indoor Air Pollution

indoor air pollution

Most people are aware of the harmful emissions and fumes we are exposed to as soon as we step out the door to live our day-to-day life. Frankly, while we may want to pause and take a deep breath – the air we breathe leaves a lot to be desired. Air quality varies from location to location worldwide, and they all pose varying degrees of risk. One would think the natural solve is to stay indoors – except studies show that what you face indoors may even be more damaging! The silver lining? Indoor air pollution is one risk that you can do something about.

Dr. Kon Ching-boon, a Hon Kong-based doctor wrote, “Indoor air pollution, the degradation of indoor air quality by harmful chemicals and other materials, can be up to 10 times worse than outdoor air pollution. This is because contained areas enable potential pollutants to build up more than open spaces do.”

Needless to say, indoor air pollution is bad for your health. Indoor pollutants in dust and air are often generated from our indoor activities – most often from cleaning and hygiene products. The commercial products we often use in our own homes contain many chemicals, yet we continue to use them. Air fresheners, candles, and other odor-masking products not only trigger allergies but give off numerous amounts of toxic materials in the air we breathe. Each chemical is one reason to move on to healthier alternatives.

We are surrounded by unwanted air pollutants daily; in the buildings we visit, subways we travel, cars we sit in, etc. Voluntarily purchasing and bringing chemicals into our own homes are risks we can avoid with the opportunity to make informed choices.

Nuggie Fresh Co. is committed to taking a stand against all harmful chemicals. We create all natural and sustainable products that reduce indoor air pollution. Nuggie Fresh Co. Candles, Air Purifiers and Multi-Purpose Wipes will allow you to enjoy your personal space without compromising it.

Investing in personal health should be a priority. Here are three simple steps to improve your indoor air quality:

  • Stay away from synthetic fragrances
  • Open a window, let in some fresh air
  • And, of course, MORE PLANTS. Place an air-filtering plant in your home

We all love to consume the beautiful cannabis plant. We respect ourselves by making sure our herbs are free of pesticides or any other contaminants.  Let’s do the same when it comes to the air quality we can directly control. Like anything else in life, if it doesn’t help you or bring you happiness then get rid of it.

Breathe easy & light it up (yes…the candle too)!

I agree. I think you are talking about solvents and VOC’s. One of the biggest offenders is Isopropyl alcohol used in Micro Amounts in a lot of cosmetics and personal use items. I am surprised you did not address the big issue. You are citing micro amounts but virtually all smokers clean with several ounces of ISO or some other solvent. At 500 drops per ounce that is seemingly much worse and directly associated to the cannabis industry.
